Edward Kaftarian, M.D., is an internationally acclaimed expert and pioneer in the field of Telepsychiatry. As a member of the American Psychiatric Association’s Telepsychiatry Committee, he significantly influences governmental policy in this domain. He also plays a key role in shaping educational programs as a member of the Steering Committee for PsychCongress, the largest independent mental health educational conference in the United States.
As former Vice Chair of Mental Health for the American Telemedicine Association, Dr. Kaftarian has made substantial contributions to virtual health, notably co-authoring “Best Practices in Videoconferencing-Based Telemental Health,” among other significant publications and book chapters.
A respected lecturer, Dr. Kaftarian imparts his extensive knowledge on telepsychiatry’s rules and regulations to healthcare organizations, universities, and residency programs throughout the nation.
